All our professional programs are expert-led and customised to your organisation’s unique requirements and provide the unique opportunity for your staff to meet and engage with a Holocaust survivor. Sessions can be conducted at Sydney Jewish Museum (2km from Sydney CBD) or streamed online.
Our programs are divided into three key areas that underpin inclusive workplace environments and best-practice corporate culture:
This session uses the testimonies of Holocaust survivors to reflect on how businesses and employees can think about both corporate and personal responsibility today. By reflecting on the roles played by individuals and other professionals in the events of the Holocaust, contemporary business practices are analysed and questioned.
Participants come out with a greater understanding of what’s involved in each moral and ethical decision – both personally and professionally.
These programs have been developed from working with Holocaust survivors for over 20 years. They aim to familiarise and sensitise participants to the imperative values of inclusion, prevention of discrimination, and minimising unconscious bias in workplace culture.
Outcomes include:
A session on building resilience and empathy will leave participants motivated by the strength and positive outlook of Holocaust survivors. Following the destruction of World War II, Holocaust survivors have managed to integrate their memories of horror and loss in their lives with a sense of resilience. These survivors do not define their lives based on their personal and collective trauma. Rather, they are living proof of the power of resilience. These workshops are designed for employers seeking to encourage resilience in their teams, develop empathy in their staff and create a culture based on strengths-based psychology.
In a world of increasing polarity, this program encourages individuals to reflect on their role in enhancing social cohesion in society. Using the example of the Holocaust, teams are challenged to examine their own biases and actions in a society influenced by power, authority, identity and gender. By examining the actions of individuals and groups, teams better understand the implications of ‘othering,’ discrimination and their role in putting an end to it.
