Research Fellows

The Sydney Jewish Museum Research Fellowship is a funded, annual fellowship that encourages deep and focused research across any topic relevant to the Museum’s exhibitions, collection or programming. Fellows are provided access to the Sydney Jewish Museum’s collection, programs and research team to produce a project that brings knowledge into scholarly and public arenas.

Being a research fellow at the Sydney Jewish Museum gave me access to a vast collection of archival material and historical artefacts. As a dress historian, being able to handle a garment is so important: to see traces of where a garment was altered, a hem turned or perhaps a secret pocket inserted. But beyond access to the collection, the opportunity to share ideas with and seek the expertise and knowledge of the many experts at the Museum is invaluable.
